For a beach vacation, this is the perfect location!
Many sun hours and a nice sea breeze, bathing water of excellent quality and a well kept clean beach (in 2022 for 34th time blue flag environmental award).
Directly at the beach entrance of the Duinweg (about 8 minutes walk) you will find beach pavilion De Piraat and a little further you will find, among others, Lage Duintjes and Bij Karel, all well-maintained pavilions where you can enjoy the sea and the beach while having a snack and a drink.
Not only the sea but also the forest is close by. The park is located near dune and water catchment area Oranjezon and directly on the wooded nature reserve De Manteling, in which on the opposite side of the Vroonweg runs a hiking and cycling path (cycling junction route). Bicycles can be rented at various places in Oostkapelle.
There are also plenty of other opportunities for a fun day out. From museums, sights and historical sites to fun playgrounds for children. There is much to do, for young and old. In the house are leaflets of possible outings.
In Oostkapelle and surroundings are many catering establishments, something for everyone. The closest, directly across the park, is café-restaurant Boschhoek on the corner at the Duinweg.
Daily shopping can be done at the Jumbo in Oostkapelle. Also in Serooskerke, Vrouwenpolder and Domburg you will find supermarkets with an extensive assortment (resp. Plus, Jumbo and AH).
In Dennenbos camping store, at walking distance on the Duinweg 64, you can visit during the summer season for a more limited assortment, fresh rolls and ice cream.
